Help

Inviting team members

Invite team members by email and choose their role before sending, so they can join Scout Pages and help manage the parts of your group website they are responsible for.

Managing your team

Invite team members when someone else needs to help manage part of your group website.

When to invite someone

You might invite someone if they help with:

  • Updating website content
  • Managing events or opportunities
  • Looking after venue hire
  • Managing shop orders
  • Uploading policies
  • Helping with billing

Only invite people who should have access to Scout Pages for your group.

What you need

To invite someone, you need:

  • Their email address
  • The role they should have

The role decides what they can manage once they accept the invite.

Sending an invite

Owners can send invites from the Team page.

When sending an invite, choose the person’s role before sending. They will receive an email with a link to join Scout Pages.

Invites expire after 7 days.

What happens next

If the person already has a Scout Pages account, they will be asked to log in.

If they do not have an account yet, they can create one from the invite.

Once they accept the invite, they are added to your group website with the role you chose.

Pending invites

Pending invites are shown on the Team page until they are accepted or cancelled.

Owners can cancel an invite if it was sent by mistake.

If someone cannot access Scout Pages

Ask them to check:

  • They are using the same email address the invite was sent to
  • They are signed into the right Scout Pages account
  • The invite has not expired
  • They are using the latest invite email if more than one was sent

If needed, cancel the old invite and send a new one.

Notes for review

The invite email says the person has been invited to manage the website, but it does not list the selected role in the email.
